Hideki Nakazawa
1963-

A Japanese artist, Hideki Nakazawa, graduated from the Medical Dept. of Chiba University, and worked as an ophthalmologist for a few years afterward. However, he made a comback to art which he had always pursued since his student days. What he chose at that time was not pure art but comercial illustrations. He introduced a pop sense to the early-stage computer graphics, whose cheap art called "Baka CG" got popularity. He also showed his talent in making CD-ROMs. However, he turned a pure artist in 1997, and thereafter, he created logical works in succession using letters or go-stones. In 2000, he published "Method Painting, Method Poem, Method Music (Methodicism Manifesto)" under the observation of a poet and a musician, and has been an editor of an email periodical "Method" since then. He wrote a hand-written book, "Text on Modern Art History," that was published by Tom's Box. And he obtained patents of "Device for processing a 3-D image" and "Solid Object Generation" both in Japan and the U.S.A. Although he has written many articles in various magazines since 1990, this is his first book in print. His homepage: http://aloalo.co.jp/nakazawa/
