Our official photograph has been taken in a happy sunlight
of New Year's Day.  This issue is named "PHOTO ISSUE" which
we are sending to you with a picture attachment.  Sorry for
the change of the former plan that had been announced in the
last issue.  There is no "METHODICIST'S TEXT OF THIS MONTH"
nor "METHODICIST'S WEB PIECE OF THIS MONTH" in this issue.

- A new composition "The Law of Cicadae" for a Kugo (Chinese
ancient harp) was premiered by Nishi Yoko at Kenritsu-
Ongakudo, Kanagawa.  It was not only a great performance but
also one of the most successful "reverse simulation musics"
for a solo player, because the player could make a rich
music and computation simultaneously without a break!
- 1/10,11,12 Final presentations of the workshop called "we
will invent a new imaginary folk entertainment!" at Sendai-
Mediatheque.  I will show a new performance piece "JIYAI-
Kagura (sacred music/dance)" together with participants of
this workshop.

We modified the format of this bulletin.  Japanese names are
transcribed as "Family name, Given name" in the English
version also.  The next issue, NO. 31, will be published on
February 1, 2004, carrying a text by Miwa Masahiro and a web
piece by Nakazawa Hideki.
