Work's title:
2.73-Dimensional Box-Shaped LEGO Sponge

Work's size:
W430mm x D430mm x H270mm@ (Work itself)
W500mm x D500mm@(Pedestal)

Work's concept:
If you regard an individual LEGO unit as a solid atom, you can simulate what is outputted by a 3D printer which is based on the idea of "Solid object generation," the patent of which I obtained this year (1998) in USA. (Patent pending in Japan.) And it can be made easily on the monitor screen by a bitmap-type "Device for processing a three-dimensional image" (whose patent is pending both in Japan and USA; the product based on which is "Digital Nendo,"* now on sale by Ask-sha.) Making the most of its special quality, that is, the ability of referring to the inside structure, the work in the exhibition was made as a "material" structure in the fractal dimension.
