Having moved from Nagoya to Ginza, Gallery Cellar will hold HIDEKI NAKAZAWA's solo exhibition in summer 2009. This exhibition is threefold, each respectively featuring different series. The first period "Sequences, Migikata Agari [steady growth], Letters" is to display new pieces of digital paintings, of which "Sequences" and "Migikata Agari" are new series of optical works with primary six colors CMYRGB, and "Letters" is further development of "Letter-Coordinate Paintings" series from 1997 onwards. The second period "Art Patents" Report is to memorialize the disposition of Nakazawa's patents to an American company, by which bondholders of "Art Patents" received a dividend higher than its purchase price at Gallery Cellar in 2005. The third period "Cells, Deltas, Money Amount" is to display new pieces of analog paintings, of which "Cells" from 2008 and "Deltas" first shown this time are oil paintings, and "Money Amount" series from 2000 onwards shows its new development.

Related to the solo exhibition, Gallery Cellar will arrange evening meetings at Cellar Viewing Room in Hacchobori, 5 minutes from the gallery in Ginza. At the first evening "Demonstration of Digital Nendo [clay]," Nakazawa himself will demonstrate his invention "Digital Nendo" software (1996, Sales by Ask Co., Ltd.) patented for "Art Patents." At the second evening "Screening of Silly CG," Nakazawa will screen pieces of "Silly CG," works of computer graphics from 1990 to 1996, and its RGB workflows.
